Humboldt offers distance learning.

Humboldt’s main office is in Wien, Austria.

Humboldt is the leading Open Education Institute in Austria and supervises together with the "Humboldt Matura Schule" about 9,000 students per year. The Humboldt Institutes are part of the largest European open learning school association. The majority stake is owned by the German Klett-Gruppe as well as the non-profit Foundation of the Vienna Mercantile Community/Vienna Economic Chamber.

Other Humboldt Institutes are Humboldt Fernlehr Institut (HFL), Matura Schule (HMS) and Humboldt Business Akademie (HBA).
