All countries by population

Jump to: navigation, search

The following is a list of all countries by population.

We offer both a "scientific" nomenclature (metric prefixes for states, normalised to 1 million people ) - such as kilostates - and more informal language in terms of countries - such as megacountries.

The major boundaries are at multiples of 10 but in some cases there are minor boundaries at 3 (roughly the square root of 10) - the underlying theory being that "power" of a country is proportional to the square of its population (the number of binary interactions within its population).
