The College caters for students from the age of 14 and has several campuses throughout the Nottingham conurbation, primarily in the city itself. The College provides a wide range of education and training opportunities, ranging from pre-entry through to university degree level. New College Nottingham is an amalgamation of Arnold and Carlton College (opened 1960), Basford Hall College of Further Education (opened 1969), Clarendon College of Further Education (founded 1919 – became an FE college in 1948 – current campus opened 1960), and High Pavement Sixth Form College (founded as a school in 1788 – Sixth Form since 1975 – current campus opened 2001) On 22 January 2013, the College opened its first overseas campus in India, the New College Nottingham International Lifestyles Academy (NILA); based in Gurgaon, New Delhi.
