Certificates, undergraduate and postgraduate degrees are available from various Maryland institutions. Degrees are awarded not by MarylandOnline directly, but by the university offering a chosen course. More than 20 institutions participate, including the University of Baltimore, the University of Maryland University College, and Community College, and Howard Community College (to name but a few). A recent WCET report notes that, for fiscal year '08 (July 1, 2007 through June 20, 2008), the total enrollments in credit-bearing courses by students in MarylandOnline institutions was 222,440.
