E-BerkeleyFrom Researching Virtual Initiatives in Education
Based in California, US, e-Berkeley (at the University of California-Berkeley, or UC-Berkeley) was described in 2005 as follows:
During the peak of its activities, one of e-Berkeley's primary goals was to see the implementation of web-based learning systems to fruition. The project seems to have operated primarily from 2001-2005 (its web site has not been updated since 2005, though it remains online). During that time successfully and transparently brought a vast array of university systems to the internet, both educational and administrative. The e-Berkeley web site is at http://eberkeley.berkeley.edu/ More detailsOne of 10 major University of California campuses, UC-Berkeley has roughly 25,000 undergraduates and 10,000 postgraduates. See also the UC-Berkeley Extension (http://www.unex.berkeley.edu/online/), with more than 120 courses online. > US
