Coleg Llandrillo CymruFrom Researching Virtual Initiatives in EducationColeg Llandrillo Cymru (English: Llandrillo College Wales) is the largest College in the north of Wales, with around 34,000 learners studying either on campus, in the community, in the workplace or over the Internet. The college employs approximately 2000 staff and offers over 4,000 full and part-time courses. Courses range from A levels, BTECs, Modern Apprenticeships and NVQs to Higher Nationals, Foundation Degrees, Honours Degrees and Postgraduate Studies offered in association with the University of Wales, Glyndŵr, Bangor and Cardiff Metrolitan University. The college was opened on 23 June 1965. The college network includes a main campus in Rhos-on-Sea, a medium size campus in Rhyl, smaller sites in Denbigh and Abergele, the Glasdir Centre in Llanrwst, a specialist business services centre in Cefnmeiriadog, near St Asaph, and approximately 120 learning centres across the counties of Conwy and Denbighshire. Coleg Meirion-Dwyfor & Coleg Menai recently became part of the Llandrillo group adding 7 extra campuses in Dolgellau, Glynllifon and Pwllheli, Llangefni, Bangor, Caernarfon & Parc Menai, making the Llandrillo-Menai group the largest college in Wales.
