The University of Colombo School of Computing (UCSC) is located in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

The University of Colombo School of Computing seeks to be a centre of international repute in training in ICT. It was established in 2002 by a merger of the Institute of Computer Technology and The Department of Computer Science, both within the University of Colombo. UCSC was the first centre of higher learning of computing in Sri Lanka, offering master's and PhD degrees in Computer Science.

They begin to use e-learning services in 2003,using learning management facilities. THe project of implement and develop it was collaborative with the Stockholm University and Department of Computer and Systems Sciences. It was conducted as a pilot project to identify the applicability of e-learning.

They use several tools, but the most important are:

  • Moodle
  • Own wiki, where you can find all the information related with the university,courses,etc.
  • Radio programme, this began in 1997.

UCSC was a participant in the PANdora project, which ran from 2005-2008.
