The Institute of Information Technology (IOIT, or IIT) is a leading national centre for research and development in the field of Information Technology (IT) in Vietnam.

It is part of the Vietnamese Academy of Science and Technology (VAST).

The Institute of Information Technology's main office is in Hanoi, Vietnam.

The Institute has 200 staff members and various departments including informatics, mathematical aspects of informatics, automation and socioeconomic management systems.

IOIT was founded in 1976 as the Institute of Computer Science and Cybernetics (ICSC). ICSC became the Institute of Informatics (IOI) in 1989, and in 1993 merged with the Centre for Systems and Management, and the Centre of Applied Mathematics, into the Institute of Information Technology (IOIT).

The university was a participant in the PANdora project, which ran from 2005-2008.
